  Chalo's is one of my top 2 favorite tiendas in Panajachel. They not only offer many items that can't be found at other stores, but they were one of the first tiendas that implemented Corona Virus protections and are careful about evaluation practices before any person enters the tienda. Also, there is always someone close by to offer assistance if you need help or to answer a question and they are mindful of social distancing and only allow a certain amount of people inside the tienda at the same time so that people are not too close to you as you shop.

  Is was closed says open until 7PM arrived around 18:30 and nobody was there.

  It's a local supermarket. You can get imported items also but they are expensive. The local food is just as good.

  Best place to buy Ex-Pat foods. Fresh breads are amazing. Pricing is fair for the area. Staff is always friendly and greets you with a smile!
