::Go to Guatemala city and stay in this hostel. I stayed in the 4 bed dorm. The facilities are clean and comfortable. The internet is good in the common area, and the breakfast is good. There is a nice terrace. What makes this place special is the location (zona 10) and the owner. He organizes nights out, tours, or can tell you where to go in the city. Free transportation to the airport or bus station included. Recommended.

::We love this place... the bike tour is out of this world and the accomodations are cool and the roof top... just wicked

::When we arrived at Quetzalroo I was feeling pretty sick from something I ate. We had meant to book a private room and private bathroom but ended up with a shared bathroom. The lady running the hostel knew I was sick and blocked the other room from being booked so we could still have a private bathroom. She was so sweet and made me rice and toast and got Pedialyte delivered from a local pharmacy. We had a very early flight the next day and I think the only reason I was able to make it and feel okay was because of the food and Pedialyte she got for me. The hostel was very clean, safe, and friendly. I couldn't have asked for a better home away from home to be sick in. Thank you so very much.

::It’s clean and safe for sure. We got the supreme private and it was huge- its own apartment. I recommend it if you need to stay in Guatemala city for a longtime and want a kitchen. Price is high though, and no hot shower. Breakfast is included and it’s coffee, toast and fruit. Good thing is all the taxi drivers in the city seem to know it. Safe bet but I say just go on towards Antigua if you can.

::From the maintenance gentleman...to the housekeepers who are verse in most areas to the front office...very clean, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Amalia, Carlotta and Hilda who's a little new but she will be fine...to Marcus who's very passionate about the city and the historic and political values...to Gaby and Antonio who were there for every breakfast and of course my favorite beers at night. I truly appreciate the dinners Antonio made...he added the homely feel and great conversations. Thanks again to all! May some very interesting people while I was there also...thanks Quetzalroo. Highly recommended.
